Well this year the cutleaf teasel has gotten totally out of control. In one corner of the field, the teasel has formed a total monoculture that is basically impenetrable to humans and any type of game animal. I think it's a refuge for mice and voles, because I found a lot of girdled saplings nearby. And the teasel patch is spreading, threatening to take over the entire field.
Does anyone have experience battling cutleaf teasel on a large scale? Internet says triclopyr and 2,4D are effective. Can I combine both in the same sprayer, or do I have to do two applications? Or do I have to choose one or the other? Can I spray it in November?
