this can happen in extreme cold, usually when the strobe goes out all images are black - they may have some at cuddeback or at least an IR or BF module that can replace it if needed.I have a double barrel strobe that is sending me a black pic every other pic at night. I'm guessing it's the strobe unit that needs to be replaced but I'm having a hard time locating one. It's an older unit...G or K or whatever they were. I have the old Home unit I think I can take it out of to replace it with ...but thought I'd post here in case it could be some other issue.
What foam did you end up going with? I plan to add it to several (hopefully all eventually) cameras as I get to them this spring for maintenance. What worked best for you?I have been researching it and it seems there should be foam right below the led bulbs. One of my L series cameras I haven’t deployed yet so i took it apart (5-6 screws) and there is a big gap below the bulbs. I have ordered foam and I am going to take apart all 6 cameras and put the foam in. Hopefully you can tell from this picture. I believe the foam needs to be around 2.5” long, 3/4” high, and 1/8” thick. You can see the gap below the lights and I believe that is letting light get down where the lens is.

Thanks!
you have the option of returning it to the retailer you purchased form if its under warranty. what model ?im assuming an L series if you adjusted motion sense - can you post one of the pics its taking repeatedly?John
Anything I can do to fix a camera that is now taking LOTS of pictures of nothing. I have the sensitivity set below "Optimum" and have tried moving the camera to a new location. This is the same camera that I already sent in once to have the filter replaced, because it was taking "pink colored" pictures. Camera was new in September. I appreciate the fact that Cuddeback will be replace my camera under warranty, but I do find it crappy that I have to pay $15 in shipping to send it back every time. I feel like a camera that is under warranty should not be costing me out of pocket.
I already deleted all the photos and disabled the camera earlier today. I have it facing north at a row of trees. Before I had it facing south at a grass waterway. I thought maybe it was the sensitivity, but I have turned it down 3 times now. None of my other 6 cameras are having that issue and they are all set on higher sensitivity settings in the same type of habitat. L series. I just feel like this individual camera was meant to have issues from start, as this is its second issue. I have had zero issues with the rest of my cameras and some of them have been in the field over 2 years now.you have the option of returning it to the retailer you purchased form if its under warranty. what model ?im assuming an L series if you adjusted motion sense - can you post one of the pics its taking repeatedly?

you have it set to time lapse , turn your day and night lapse to "off" ....the little clock in the left hand corner tells me that its on time lapseI already deleted all the photos and disabled the camera earlier today. Edit: Just got a bunch of photos after I had disabled it as the command must not have hit the camera yet. Now they are showing a funky pink color in the middle.View attachment 88862
clear your remote que and cell que if you dont want more to come thru, id also change out the sd card on it if its an L series - you can ask CS to supply you a label if you have sent it in multiple times or as i said, ask the retailer you bought it from to take care of it.Ok I must have done that accidentally when I went into disable it. It was taking a lot of photos then it went to taking even more photos ....I helped my problem!
