CRP Burn

Here are a couple photos of 40 acres of crp burned. The guy was given a map but still managed to burn a lot of the trees I had planted, that ticked me off. More trees coming in the future. I was surprised at how complete the burn was.

Yes that looks like a complete burn down. Please share some after pics when the time comes.

Yep - thats a good burn there. The only way to protect trees is buy removing the fuel from around them and at times that isn't enough as the heat can still cause issues. In a month or so when the grass and weeds start to grow you will never know it looked like that. Did you find any sheds? I have found a couple sheds post CRP burn before. Makes finding them much easier!

Looks like a good burn other than losing some trees.

We only found one 4 point side. It was disappointing. CRP has been there for 4 or 5 years. Thought we would find more than one. Although we picked up a matched set last year in the CRP.
