Crockpot Recipe

He's right. It's an absolute shame we went that long without bringing it up.

I hate this thread(having not harvested a deer for a few years now), but I keep coming back to live vicariously through all of you b*st*rds!;):D

Made me LOL, Whip !!!:p:p

Isnt a crockpot thing but have you ever deep fried backstrap medallions.

Cut back strap into bite sized pieces, pound with a meat tenderizer, dip into beaten egg and milk, dip into your favorite bread crumb combination, repeat both dips.

Deep fry and serve with brown gravy.

I can eat these til I have to un buckle my belt.

Light gravey ain't bad either

You're not alone buddy. I forgot the last time I shot a deer. Could be as little as 5 years, as many as 8. My first deer off our property will come in at a cost of about $650/lb. if we get two and don't blow the back end off of them, it'll be down to $325/lb.

Sent from my mobile land management office.

As much as I hate to admit it, I seriously just thought about it and I can't remember the exact time I shot my last deer either. It had been 5 or 6 years. I would have to dig out my old tags to be sure.
