Yes, it is. I respect your right not to get vaccinated. In return, I expect you to respect my right to get the vaccine. Enough said… I am moving on, with one less thing to worry about.
Feel free to go look at the numbers the trusted CDC has on Flu infections and deaths as well as pneumonia infections and deaths this season, I will wait while your popcorn gets cold friendHeck, it's worth chiming in here just for shits and giggles, even knowing the likely response. Tell me: if all these deaths were with rather than from COVID, how exactly is it that the average life expectancy in 2020 dropped by a full year? And 2 1/2 years if you're black? I got my popcorn ready...

“White collar folks”. You’re not Joe Biden are you?Sure I will hazard an answer,. but I think you already know this Kerhrke,.. so this is mostly for everyone else.
Poverty is much higher with minorities,.. typically they work jobs that interface with the public more than white collar folks and that causes more incidence of exposure to Covid. Also they typically have little health care compared to white populations (which probably goes back to crappy jobs). So when I need help with covid I go see my PCP and get snuck in the back door of the building and meet my doctor. The person with no insurance goes and sits in the ER room packed with sick people coughing or just plain decides to rough it out worried what the bill will be? Lastly there is the issue of housing. Minorities typically house several generations in one residence ($$) where as my mom lives alone and I live with just my significant other. (Because we can afford to do that). So when the grandparents live with the second generation kids you have a shit storm of Covid flying around the home.
PS I did go see my PCP and that is exactly how it worked.
This is similar to the question of "Why is it that when a Hurricane hits why do poor people (minorities) suffer more?"
If you think about it,.. it is obvious why.
Continuing on with my after the second shot post. Yesterday the day after the shot the reaction to it continued to get worse on and off. Took a half a dose of Tylenol decongestant and that relieved the congestion enough. However there were very short sharp pains in the throat part my neck; it felt like when I have a pulled muscle in my back, really painful. After an hour or so those pains went away. I went and picked up my truck from the mechanic place and felt pretty OK. So I decided to cut tree cages; got four cut, had tripped twice and was exhausted from twenty minutes of "work" so I thought it was better to just give up the rest of the day. Poured a glass of wine, had Alexa play Dolly Parton music and just relaxed. Went to bed early(8:30 pm) kept waking up until 1 pm, probably never did get to actual sleep. Finally fell asleep at 1 AM and slept thru like a baby until 6:30 am which is my usual later waking up time. I feel worn out but the very uncomfortable reaction to the shot looks to be over. There is no more pain or congestion or shortness of breath.
Meanwhile my wife had a slight headache yesterday afternoon, maybe from her shot maybe not. My two neighbors who also had their second shot on Tuesday had slight headaches also. So that was it. Of the four of us who got our second shots my reactions were the worst and were apparently only a one day event and my wife and two neighbors experienced only slight headaches. Just for reference the ages of the four of us range from 69 to 72 years young.

That must have generated a lot of guilt for you. My PCP retired last week. He’s been my Doc since I was a teenager. No way in hell he would have snuck me in the back door against the rules. And we’re friends. And both white.PS I did go see my PCP and that is exactly how it worked.
oh, the white privilege... I can smell it comin out of his poresThat must have generated a lot of guilt for you. My PCP retired last week. He’s been my Doc since I was a teenager. No way in hell he would have snuck me in the back door against the rules. And we’re friends. And both white.
Don’t let it eat you up, you just got luckier than most.
Check is on the way.I wanna know who all the rich people are on the internet who have a PCP. I have to pay my own health insurance out of pocket and THEN deal with up to $13k out of pocket... Still don't have a PCP... Guess you guys are either on your employers teat or the govt teat. Must be nice to have that kind of privilege. You should all cut me a check because I'm not as blessed as you.
