Conspiracy theorys, where do you stand?

So....when can we start talking about the second (first) moon landing?

Most of the actual beef producers aren't making big money. It's mostly a monopoly of 4-5 processors that are making money.

There are less processors for small scale producers. They get to full production and it becomes harder for small producers.

Buying meat from the grocery store perpetuates that. I know not everyone can buy direct from farmers, but I’d urge everyone to try. I buy 95% of my meat straight from a farmer. I will not participate in that system if I can avoid it.

We likely pay a little more for a .5 of beef and a whole or half hog including butcher than if store bought but we get better meat. Add in a buck and a doe or two and that's pretty much the meat for the year.

But the money stays in our local neighborhood. Got harder when the processor we used for hogs went hallal though.

We've bought a hog now and then for a roast and the occasional steaks for a group gathering though.

Better than a kick in the crotch, but that gain is after a drop of 50% for corn and 30% in beans over the last 2 years. We're back at 2014 prices.

2012 corn peaked at $8 after a severe drought . If we had another drought like that, we would be back to $7 . It’s cyclical. Corn yields were high last year. Lots of timely rains .

Ironically corn exports set a record in 2025, we just have a lot of corn 🌽!

I can only assume it’s your favorite bogeyman- The Jews….. So Gaza?

And what this has to do with wounded American servicemen IDK. Some kind of misguided “America does it too” equivalency attempt I guess.

Gaza is already done. They’ve already taken the Golan Heights in southern Syria. Now they’re on to Lebanon. They didn’t wait more than a day or two after making trump bomb Iran, they moved right into Lebanon. You don’t have to take my word for it.

So far they have killed 1200 people, and over 1 million displaced after they declared they’re just annexing southern Lebanon and moving the border.

2 in 5 people in Lebanon are Christians, so it’s statistically 400,000 Christians that will lose their homes to Israel so far.

All im saying, is if we can’t all agree to stop wholesale killing of Christians worldwide with our tax dollars and weapons, damn us all. I would go as far to say 99% of the people they kill are likely not terrorists. The median income in Lebanon is $22/day. How much of a threat is someone that poor?

And if they’re in there to take out hezbollah, why do they need to move the border and steal the land? How will that improve their border security? They just pissed off a million more people, and they suddenly have even less to lose.

It’s ok if you were not aware of this. Now that you know, I’d hope you’d have a change of heart and agree this isn’t right.

Those displaced will be able to stay or go home if they are not combatants.

Israel wanted non combating people to leave so they wouldn't be used as shields by hezbollagh.

When Muslim terrorists are removed, peaceful Muslims and other can go home and build a better life.

Like Lebanese had before Muslim terrorists took charge.

Hopefully this is another step toward ME peace.

Well I'm glad they managed to export the corn. I'm worried about what this year will bring with high fertilizer priced and farmers avoiding beans.

Time will tell. I have a lot of faith in our farmers.

Israel is not an enemy to Lebanese Christians. Christianity was the dominant religion by far in Lebanon until wave after wave of Muslims starved out Christians and waged war against them. And who were the latest group of Muslims to attack Christians and Jews in Lebanon? Ah yes, the Palestinians.

Israel is perfectly capable of living in peace with any peaceful neighbor. Israel is in a fight for its existence from enemies whose stated goal is the extermination of Jews from the planet.

It seems your bias against The Evil Jooz is blinding you to historical facts, or you are deliberately ignoring important facts in order to blame the Jews/Israelis for the problems in the Middle East.

Your narrative only works if we willingly ignore facts and use a sliding scale of justice. The Israelis have every right and obligation to protect themselves. They are NOT targeting Christians in Lebanon. They are targeting Muslim jihadis who are the self-declared enemies of Israelis/Jews/Christians.

There is no other nation on Earth that is denied the right to defend itself from another nation because Christians live there. In fact, Israel is fighting the enemies of the Christians. Israel has always allied with the Lebanese Christians against the Palestinians in Lebanon. Your desire to somehow twist this into Jews vs. Christians requires some serious mental gymnastics and ignoring current and historical facts.

Remember that Americans killed a lot of Christians in Europe, and are currently helping to kill Christians in Ukraine. Where's your bleeding heart for the Ukrainian and Russian Orthodox Christians dying in Europe?

SD, this post was seriously less cryptic! Thank you for that.

2 in 5 people in Lebanon are Christians, so it’s statistically 400,000 Christians that will lose their homes to Israel so far.

I really don’t want to spend half my morning on this. Here is the first misleading statement. It slightly overestimates the number of Christians in Lebanon. NBD, but that is a clue. But more importantly is assumes that Christians are evenly distributed in Lebanon and Syria. In the excellent and immaculately researched fiction “Damascus Station” by the excellent David McCloskey one of the things I learned was that there are many Christian neighborhoods and towns distributed all over this region that includes Lebanon and Syria. Restaurants that serve alcohol etc etc. Side note- I always assumed Damascus is hell on earth. Many American foreign service personnel who served all over the world count Damascus as their favorite posting. Side note #2: My favorite book scene of all time is in this book. A female CIA chief of station is battling insurgents who have taken over the US embassy. She is fighting with her favorite office decoration, a Mossburg shotgun. In the heat of a hallway firefight she screams at the insurgents “I’ve seen my own death in a dream AND IT’S A HELL OF A LOT MORE VIOLENT THAN THIS!” I love McCloskeys books. Just started “The Persian”.

So getting back to the above, Christians aren't sprinkled evenly in with the Shia or Lebonese Hezbollah population. There are Christian neighborhoods and Christian towns. They are not immune from the fighting. There have been mistakes made. But making it sound like the Israelis are targeting Christian neighborhoods is silly. Christians aren’t firing rockets into Israel. Lebanese Hezbollah is. Lebanese Hizbollah is a 100% Iranian proxy.

Which is why Hezbollah operates in civilian areas, complicating targeting. Just like Hamas in Gaza. Similar tactics. Same assholes.

Next: “Moving the border” or annexation. An oddly lefty/Palestinian type narrative for a dude that loves him some Zero Hedge anti Israel sentiment. A enemy of my enemy is an ally I guess…. Pushing back the rocketeers so Israel is out of rocket range is a better description.

All im saying, is if we can’t all agree to stop wholesale killing of Christians worldwide with our tax dollars and weapons, damn us all. The wholesale killing of Christians? Puhleeze. Just slipped that in there like it is true.

“How much of a threat are people that poor?” What does that even mean? This is exactly the demographic that Islamists recruit from! “Put on a suicide vest, you will be a martyr, Muslim heaven, and we will pay your family a handsome reward!”

“Here kid, let me show you how to run this freshly smuggled in AK, just poke it around the corner at the imperialist infidels and pull the trigger”

An even better response to “the wholesale killing of Christians” is as follows:
Israel is not an enemy to Lebanese Christians. Christianity was the dominant religion by far in Lebanon until wave after wave of Muslims starved out Christians and waged war against them. And who were the latest group of Muslims to attack Christians and Jews in Lebanon? Ah yes, the Palestinians.

Israel is perfectly capable of living in peace with any peaceful neighbor. Israel is in a fight for its existence from enemies whose stated goal is the extermination of Jews from the planet.

I don’t agree with everything Israel does. But I understand why it is happening. The Islamists are never going to stop. And they are the problem.

Who's next Hegseth or Leavitt?

Noem and Bondi are both borderline imbeciles that have been pampered and failed up their whole lives….just like far too many women in this country(40-60% imo), regardless of their politics.

The corruption of this family is staggering

A drone manufacturer backed by President Donald Trump’s two eldest sons is seeking to sell interceptor drones to countries astride the Persian Gulf facing attacks from Iran, the Associated Press reported.

Powerus, a Florida-based firm that recently brought on Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., is pitching its systems to countries reliant on US military support, the report said.

It's Hegseth. If he looked like Leavitt, he wouldn't be in jeopardy.

The Iran "conflict" is going to fall on Hegseth's head in the next month, IMO.

Is this like when embattled football coaches fire coordinators to save their job?

For the record I actually like Pete and agree with letting those pilots off. Plus I like his efforts to make the military less weak

Probably. He's next, IMO.

I don't care for Pete's personality or his goofy antics, but agree 100% with some of the standards he's returned to the military. I disagree on him over-ruling the Army on the pilots. Serious organizations (which he's done some good work returning to some norms) don't waste time or resources doing circle jerk fly-bys. I believe it undermines some of the positive changes he's made.

We've had some good back and forth discussion here about Israel and their role in this war. IMO, this is not a good look.

Trump even said a few days ago, "We've had good discussions with Iran, I don’t want to say who because they could wind up dead". Israel clearly wants this conflict to continue, it would be to Trump's peril to let that happen. IMO
