It might get there. So far, we're giving the regime a chance to change its ways. The more.peaceful and stable the transition, the better it is for everyone. There are a lot of reformers in the Iranian government who see the need for change but want to avoid revolution. Revolution is the purview of fanatics, and that's the last thing Iran needs. We see how it went last time.

Even if it's not true, it great news for the good guys. It helps foment anti-Russia sentiment and supports the narrative that Russia and her allies are the bad guys.

A few of the podcasts I like are streaming on both audio and YouTube but I just like something I can listen to when I’m doing something else.
Was the US revolution under the purview of fanatics? It’s perspective, and I personally believe there are more people in Iran who want freedom than not. What they don’t have is a way to make it happen by force…..and force is the only thing the bearded goat-humpers understand.

Most of the Iranians I've met are doctors and engineers. I used to date an Iranian woman who is now a doctor. It's a fascinating country full of culture.and history. My ex and I used to talk about Zoroastrianism and Nietzsche over a meal of homemade Persian food, and I would ask her about her country and what life was like there.
I get the impression that there are millions of amazing people there who just want a normal life. Unfortunately, there are also millions of hateful Islamists who have been in control for decades, and they are a formidable force. There are factions within the government that want to ease restrictions on the people and open up the country. But there are also factions that want to commit genocide against the Jews and spread the Islamic revolution across the globe.
Iran is basically the remnants of the Persian empire. There are different groups living together, and they are ancient cultures. Progress and cooperation are difficult but not impossible. The most effective way to keep things stable is through force, which is why the Iranian regime set up it's armed forces to control the people within Iran. It's difficult to see a situation where a revolution of any kind could succeed.
I think Iran's best bet is to get the liberal politicians into power and push out the conservatives and hardliners. This could satisfy Israel, as long as Iran drops its nuclear ambitions and starts to modernize its thinking. Saudi Arabia is experiencing this kind of shift now under MBS. It will take generations to achieve a modern society, if they ever get there at all, and the government would likely never be able to give up its tight control over the population, though it could relax restrictions a bit, especially regarding women's rights.

Also Qatar said exports will stop from all OPEC countries until oil is $150/barrel. $5 gas is likely coming, the reasons why are still up for debate and history will be the judge.
Yes, it can and is likely true. It seems to have been a goal in Michigan also. Where does the big money go? Are those schools doing better academically?
Positive academic results is not the goal.
Taking down the zealots in I ran may actually allow the Muslim religion to actually integrate into the 21st century and be a peaceful religion.

What have you been reading? I read some things with similar words, but a very different message.
Qatar said that oil producers in the conflict zone might need to cease production, which could drive oil prices to $150 a barrel.
I read it as a warning to the US and Israel that the security situation is tenuous, so please come park anti-missile systems near Gulf state refineries. And move more escort ships into the Straight of Hormuz to protect tankers.
