Conspiracy theorys, where do you stand?

I have a husband to my granddaughter....whom s very knowlegeable on such stuff. He told me to stop doing any further searching on my patent idea as the algorithms now on so many computers will determine what I am working on....and could prevent my ideas from been realized. Crazy stuff for me.

Seems crooks are everywhere,

Be careful with AI. I typed in my own name and political contributions. Apparently I donated a cool million. My check book says about $1200 in my life time including $9.99 to Herman Cain. Who had the 9,9,9 plan.

A.I, will get there. But none of us will
See it.
I agree- I don't think that list of dirty politicians I posted is anywhere close to a complete list. The nice thing is it created a digestable and fun chunk of data that fit my purpose and it took very little time.

The biggest I have learned with chatgpt is you have to be really specific with your instructions of what you want it to do. One of the things I have noticed is when I make a google search I tend to phrase kind of non-specifically and the automatic AI response I get is usually garbage. I think that is part of why people don't trust it. I don't think google is doing itself any favors combining the two kinds of searches. I think a google search and an AI search are apples and oranges and you can't do both the same way. I accordingly use them much differently.

I use chatgpt to process spreadsheets in a certain way. I actually keep a word doc of the instructions (about a page and a half long) and like I said above you have to be super careful what you tell it to do and you absolutely need to check results constantly. When I get wonky results I can usually go back and figure out why and usually its "Well thats because thats exactly what I told it to do." Also seemingly out of nowhere it will decide to start "improving" and start doing "helpful" things that you didn't expect. Just this morning I already told it "in the future, do not do x, adjust my instuctions so that doesn't happen again". It tells me how to change my instructions and claims it will remember my instructions going forward.

It also figures out things and identifies data in a way I didn't expect. I agree that users should be extremely careful what you put up on AI. It figures out exactly what you are doing. My processes aren't sensitive at all, it is just massive piles of data that needs to be cleaned and processed.

Also @Bill l do "vanity searches" all time to look for personal info about myself. When I can I request removal but some sites are so shady it just keeps popping up like blOck$shopper (purposely mis-spelled but you can look at it if you like). I also subscribe to a service similar to DeleteMe that webcrawls and removes personal data. It isn't enough. My info is still way too available but it helps a lot.
