Catscratch House and Habitat build

Looks like the fish pond filled back up, yeah?

She's actually a wonderful kid who has a perpetual smile on her face... until it's time for a team pic!

Yes sd, the pond is full! Been full all spring. It's a great sight after 2yrs of low levels.

The deer have decided they lice alyce clover and vetch.

Fished instead. Caught maybe the smallest bass ever, followed by a 22 incher. Skinny! Then caught several world class Green Sunfish. Then broke off a bass that was way bigger than the 22 inch one. Had him to the surface several times so I got a good look. May have been a PR but we'll never know. :(

Probably the biggest green I've seen. He doesn't have a forehead, he has a fivehead.

long day.

Found another 3 Toe turtle, and a legless lizard nest. Very cool stuff!

Finally had a calm morning (wind makes it difficult!) to get the fish structures out. Hopeful this improves fishing.

Your 'toon looks like it can carry some serious weight. I would think it would be hard to overload that boat. Did you build that? Looks very well made.

Lol, nope I didn't build it. It's a Hotwoods brand mini. ALWAYS feels stable even when standing at the corners.

A little update. The alyce clover and vetch plot are doing well and is well liked. The twins are in it almost every morning/evening. It's only a couple of inches tall. I was under the impression this plot would turn into a jungle?

I put this on another thread but will keep it here for prosperity reasons. New target!

The dock was getting ready to slip into the lake. Erosion taking it's toll. Dug some holes, welded up a frame, and poured some quickcrete. If anyone needs tips on how to stick a welding rod to a piece of metal let me know... I'm really good at it! Guess how many bags of cement I was short! Lol!

Also took the opportunity to strip off the dock from unnecessary items. Kind of amazing how much more space it has now. It needs re-decked anyway. Anyone have suggestions for decking material; Pressure Treated, Cedar, Composite?

Smoked a rack of ribs from the pig I butchered a couple of weeks ago. Good but too fat. Should have trimmed more.
