Bryna Less than Lethal self defense

I'm following this thread thinking about my wife. I wish she would consider something like this. She won't though. She and my 10 yr old daughter are always in gyms alone or staying alone in sketchy areas for baton contests. She won't even put a pepper spray in her purse. She claims she'd just shoot herself in the face. I gave them both high pitched sirens. I see they're in their purses but still in the packaging. :(

The pepper spray may be the best option if she's not confident, unless you can get her batons to be self igniting flamers,

Wife has openly said for years that she'd just be a victim. My daughter on the other hand could probably destroy someone with her batons. She's solid muscle. Probably their best chance.

I'm not sure there is any perfect solution for every kind of event that comes along. But, I do think that under many circumstances a Bryn - type device may provide the best of several other devices. Especially at longer ranges....which may provide some opportunity to escape after firing a round or a volley of several several rounds....depending on the circumstances. This discussion is good. At least you could stand a fighting chance with a bigger perp.

I really do not know the details either....and not sure if it's the same perp's or he just gets picked on. Dunno. I wonder if pepper spray or mace is not a better solution too? But those are not perfect under every scenario either. I've not got enough info to offer advice here.....and no first hand knowledge.

I wonder about pulling one of these.....and the perp pulling the real deal...."in self defense". They look like authentic firearms. Tho the orange color may provide some consideration.

The reason I got to looking at these was that I have a freind that asked me about them. Seems his grandson is getting beat up by some bullies all too often and is looking for some way to stop the aggression without being lethal. Evidently the young man gets "picked-on" allot. He asked me to look into them.....as he is afraid that if his grandson had a lethal firearm that it could be he ends up in court and / or prison.....you know the drill.

The thinking is....that if you incapacitate someone long enough to get away.....maybe it's a solution? I cannot imagine getting hit by two or three rounds of the pepper-ball ammo. Still......I dunno what to tell him.

I recommend teaching hand to hand bare knuckle psycho skills. I had to learn in elementary school what many learn in prison. When someone's tries to punk you, try to kill them with your bare hands. You have more motivation than they do, you will win. Smashed a lunch box across the face, ran one kids face down a brick wall, dropped the biggest bully with a guy punch and kick to the nuts. I had no problems the rest of my life, until I entered the federal service and found out the mean kids never grew up, they just became federal employees. And so the nut kicking resumes. I told a coworker recently that this is what happens when you mess with the kid that got picked on.
