Brassicas going in

Longleaf

Yearling... With promise
Bare with me here as I try out posting photos on the new site.

This is a long skinny 7 acre field I have been working the LC Mix rotation into over the last few years. Back in May I put a 25' strip of 2322 Sorghum around the left side of this field for a screen and also ran 3 strips longways down the field. I'm standing on top of the tractor so you can't tell it here, but the 2322 Sorghum averages 6-7' tall. It didn't do as good as Egyptian Wheat but it will work.

So the brassicas are in the tilled strips. Just to the left of each tilled strip, another strip will go in with the cereal grain/clover mix in a few weeks. The strips of 2322 Sorghum will be left standing for vertical cover across the field.

To the left of the leftmost strip of 2322 Sorghum in the second picture is a long 1 acre strip of Durana clover. It looks pretty rough now but will pick up as the fall progresses.

Looks good!
