Bird Down in Massachusetts - A Lot of "Firsts"

My son and I teamed up on a two year old tom yesterday morning. It was his second bird ever, but it was his first with his new Mossberg 500. It was the first bird on our land. And it was the first time since I began hunting in 1987 that I've ever had 4 mature toms gobbling all around me in the same hunt. I can't help but feel like 20 years of habitat improvements, TSI, and food plots are starting to pay off.

Thanks Ben. He did make a great shot. In the pic you can see he has a barrel mounted camera on his shotgun. It was a hectic hunt with birds all around us and in the commotion and excitement he tried to turn it on as the bird was coming in, but he fumbled with the switch. Would have made for a great video, as 2 nice toms ended up coming in together and giving us a great show. He shot the biggest one at 17 yards.
