Battery maintenance tip

I still run a few of my cams on rechargeable batteries. The last time I charged a batcd I had problems with a few that wouldn't charge. They were not making a good contact with the charger. Even though they looked very clean a simple solution was to take a pencil eraser and clean the contact points on both the charger and battery. Problem solved.

Speaking of battery tips, I've had several people tell me to put them in the freezer for storage. I've never tried, as it seems counter intuitive to me. any truth to this (bought 1000 AA Lithiums and some will last into next year before use)?

I've heard of that also but have no idea if it works or not. Here what a quick Google search came up with.
