Aragonite?

Anyone use aragonite instead of lime. My friend and his dad think pretty highly of this stuff. I've been trolling forums for the past 6 years and never heard of anyone using it.

I've never heard of it. Is it purchased in bulk or bags? I wonder where it can be bought?

They buy it in bulk sacks from the amish.
A place called Fertrell sells it in Pa.
It's 39% calcium less than 1% magnesium with some trace minerals.

It is oyster shell. CaCO3

Not better or worse, just a difference source of mineral. It all boils down to what your soil tests say you need, you ability to apply it, and the cost to buy the amount to amend your soil.

Thanks,

Jack
