Apple Tree Protection Advice

Four foot cages don't work where I live, because the deer eat the tops out of the young trees. I've already been though that.

I get loads and loads of health fruit every year without doing any spraying, and my trees are healthy as well. I think you should keep doing what works for you, and I will keep doing what works for me.
Agreed but it’s much cheaper and the trees still grow and spraying helps tremendously. Keep up your tactics also

My buddy texted me that the rabbits recently got one his nice 10 year old trees and I suggested bridge grafting to try and save it (even though I’ve only read about it). He wants me to help him, any tips from the veterans on the site?

Whatever you do, allow at least one root sucker to grow. Just in case!

Well....voles got two of my trees because of all the damn snow this year. One may be able to be saved. I got lazy and didn't paint 4 trees and they got two of them. Didn't bother a one that was painted!
