Fencing downwind side

I actually posted before your last post went through on my phone. I used a Gallagher style e-fence around a bean plot once. Worked for a while but they eventually started to get in. I'm skeptical that your fence will work the way you want. In my experience if a deer decides it wants downwind it will get there, and fences mean little to a deer. But, I also try and advocate unconventional ideas. In my opinion it's no big deal if it doesn't work. But it's completely awesome if it does work. I see little risk in trying it.

In the few acres of dead zone is what you want, what are some other ideas? Here's a couple ideas.

Does it have a canopy? If so, kill the midstory and any under brush, and leave the canopy to shade it.

Could you hinge trees forming a wall making a V with the point being your stand? Deer may not want to go in the inside of the V, making it a dead area.

It is a closed canopy of mostly white pine. I’m planning to do tsi everywhere but that area so it’s less attractive. I like the v idea, I just didn’t want to make a thick patch that they would use there
