Apple progress in the Bluegrass

Native Hunter

5 year old buck +
Thought some of you guys from other areas of the country might like to see where our apples are as of today.

Been gone from home a week and just got home and snapped these in the yard.

Summer Champion. Sets 20 feet from a big cedar and has a touch of CAR but not bad.

Looks like a good fruiting year. I could have taken lots more pictures, but these are fairly typical of most cultivars. I did notice that my Yates was so loaded this year it will have to be thinned some.

This officially ends your apple porn for today. :D

Are you growing all your apples for eating, deer or both ?? Do you have any " pet " trees in your yard for the family ??

The ones in the picture are at home and for eating. I have several at the farm for the wildlife.

Yep, my pet is my Priscilla. Not a better apple in my humble opinion. Notice I didn't share her picture - she's all mine...LOL.

Funny you mention Priscilla, Native. I have Priscilla, Galarina, and Nova Spy as must haves for next spring's order !! Much to like about those 3 apples.
