I suspect they would do very poorly with my occasional drought conditions being a pacific coastal regional tree.
 
Actually they are known for drought tolerance. And tolerate alkaline soil.

They are also called Oregon white oak.

I have several different trees and kept them sorted. I will post pictures of the parents.
