Any rubbing posts in?

I had too much of an itch, and I threw my first rubbing post in. I have it by a water tub, which filled up nicely. I know it's kinda early but it would be nice to get a couple velvet shedding pics. I have 3 more posts to put in, and I'm in no rush, just want to have one in the ground. Anyone else? Or am I the only nut out there?

I've thought about it but that's as far as it has went so far. Maybe later this week if time allows.

It is on my wish list. Just has not hit the top of the priority list yet.

Nope, been too busy watching the Cardinals take over first place ;)

I didn't know people were still playing baseball. I always thought that stopped once football season started. :D

Had them up all summer.

Brush Creek, AKA Double Liver, which is a better moniker IMO, put up a bunch last time we went down to the property. Going down this weekend for the youth season with Emma and Symon. One of us will update this thread when we get back.

Does it matter to the deer if the tree is dead or alive? Will we need to attach new "live" branches to the tree?

(I posted some of these on the giant cuttings thread too, but wanted them here for historical purposes as well)

I set a couple up today, and put a camera on them to see how it goes:

I also did a little clearing under them (hint hint to the deer):

I can't wait to see what I get for pictures!

With the surplus water I dug a little hole by hand, and the water was bubbling in. Went with a tag alder post. The water/post combo gives me a ton of buck shots. Most the bucks are shed out so hopefully the posts start picking up. My other posts have bear and bucks, ya a bear rubbing its a$$. Now of the bucks rubbing really yet.

I checked my cards today and I have all kinds of activity around the one I put up. I'm seeing does & fawns I haven't seen all summer there. They are using it as a licking branch/tree but no rubs on it yet.

I put up three a little while ago, but no activity yet......here's 2 of them.

Mine's been like a deer magnet. Pulled the cards yesterday and the cam I put on it had 245 pics in 3 days. My other cams has 10-50 pics.

No action at my rubbing posts yet

A few pics from todays pull.

Have any of them actually rubbed it? Or are they just relating to it?

No rubs just a meeting post. They are licking the branchs. I need to get it in earlier next year.

That's how mine were all last fall, many times 6 bucks in a picture. Haven't had those social gatherings yet
