A rare find...

Very cool! Likewise on the thistle, we have the same variety, I see quite a few bees and butterflies on that as well.

Had quite a laugh last fall, watching a fawn jump on and try to pin down a thistle stalk, only to watch it spring back up repeatedly.

I have a different kind of milkweed than you do....I have milkweed but the flowers are not orange....I have common milkweed. I like picking a few milkweed pods once they are ready for monitoring the wind when I hunt open stands. What I thought was neat was when I took those pics they all had different butterflies and moths in them and they was all in an area of 50 yards or so..... Just shows that a "weed" isn't always a bad thing!
