22LR Revolver

I saw you in stands also, your boys looked good
Thanks. They had a good game and Udall was understaffed for the evening, which hurt them. My boy played MAYB ball with 23 from your team last year, always fun to play friends.

Do they still sell the flip open 8 shot? It was either a S&W or Harrington Richards
The one I remember growing up with was the High Standard double 9.

Checkout Diamondback Sidekick comes with 22 and 22wmr cylinders. Cost is just over $300.

IMG_0259.jpegI went with the 617 it’s a very nice revolver from the little we have shot it so far.

No it’s stainless

Someone... has just started selling that HS design again, traditional single action looks, but with a swing out cylinder. Drawing a blank on who.

I very much want one of the Ruger Mark IV’s next i think.

I'd be a pig in poop for a year or two having a 617.......... Decision well done in my book. One of the top ten plinkers of all time....

I like mine so much that when I made my .50 I cut the pistol stock to accept Rugar panels. Interchangeable.

I bought one of those before you had to register them. Paid $49. for it.....IIRC.
Dang Foggy... you're aging yourself! I bought that one at a gun show a couple of days before the Brady bill, but I don't remember it being that cheap!

Yeah......I'm old....grin. After writing this......I actually think the price I said was for a 1022 Ruger. I gave that to my grandson. I think I bought the pistol a bit later? Can't recall for certain....but it was just before you needed to register them.....and that was somewhat important to me at that time. Damn Biden! grin

Edit: Reminds me of a story.....I gotta tell. (IK-IK) I was 23 years old and did not own much. I wanted to buy a wedding ring for my wife....and really could not afford anything. I had just got out of the Army...and barely had a job yet. I had purchased a Winchester 22 auto loader a year or three previous.....and I asked if my friend would buy it from me. He didn't have much either....but he gave me $20 for the rifle (which was really a good shooter). I gathered up as much money as I could and made a down payment on a pair of rings for my wife and myself.

Fast forward 45 years....and I invite my old friend to my lake cabin....along with his wife. He says he has something for me......and gives me back that same 22 Winchester rifle....but with a scope. I tried to pay him for it but he refused. He said the look on my face was well worth anything I might give to him. What a guy. I still have that gun. It's nothing special as far as value......to anyone except me. We are still wearing those gold bands. 54 1/2 years later.

One of these days I my just shoot that old gun again.

Great story Foogy! Very cool!

I found a receipt for a browning buckmark I bought in the 90’s for $211 the other day I was pretty happy about that one and it’s a far cry from $49

The Ruger Single Six is a pretty fun gun, especially with the .22 mag cylinder included. I have two of them, as well as a Bearcat. The Bearcat is a really small gun and would be great for a child to learn to shoot. You can’t start them too young IMO, and teach safe handling from the start. The Bearcat is the one without a scope, the other is a Single Six Hunter. IMG_0134.jpegIMG_0133.jpegIMG_6513.jpegIMG_6514.jpeg
