So I had an upholstery guy string me along last year for about 8 months. Finally demanded my deposit back and used it buy a 1970’s industrial sewing machine.

My wife didn’t even shake her head too much but said it would never run. Took it apart repacked the grease in the gears added a new belt driven motor, set the timing and oiled it and it runs like a top.

I’ve never sewn a stitch in my life so I didn’t know how this was going to end 😁

Actually got ok at it.

I’m sure a pro would pick on it but I’m happy. And if we screw them up I can just remake them again.

Still have to do the bolster pads in the back and I bought new helm seats for the front.

Come on warm weather!!!
 
Turned out nice!! Let me know when you're free to come do my older boat! Cool sewing machine.

Anytime anyone gets to the east coast when it’s warm let me know. If the fish are out there we’re heading to them.

Speaking of fishing. Do you fish the black drum spawn any? IF so, what was the good time to go last year. Any takers on when it would be go this year?

Getting what past cape may?

Black drum is a May event. Once the water gets warm enough in June for the sand sharks to show the game is over. Can’t keep bait in the water.

I haven’t messed with them in a few year it’s like Boca Grande Florida when the tarpon spawn. You can almost step from boat to boat in the bay.

But I have in the past.

Be careful what you offer! I am retired and have a motor home now, I may head your way for a fishing trip! Love the sewing machine, brings back memories. My family owned a glove company, we had hundreds of machines, just like it.

My hunting buddy cancelled this weekend up at camp. Was tempted to hit point pleasant and go for a tog trip. They in the area still? I usually chase them in October in RI and around thanksgiving in Atlantic city. Probably too cold for the jetty rocks. Was thinking charter boat.

I think they are still around. Striped bass season just opened too.
