2 Good apple trees for us

I have a NY Bonkers on B110 that was on its sixth leaf last year and it finally produced a few apples. I purchased mine from Cummins and they describe it as an improved Liberty.

My tree is a great grower and is very thick and stought. The apples look just like Liberty but are more tart. I think it will be a good cider tree.
My Bonkers end up being about 2 times larger than my liberty apples and I agree are. Bit more tart which I like very much

Our Prairie Spy is from SLN and it's on Antonovka roots. We MAY get a few apples this year. Standard sized trees usually take longer to fruit.
@Bowsnbucks , wondering how your Prairie Spy is doing? I have a couple grafted and they are growing very well. Just don’t hear a lot about them on here.

PS was so slow to fruit that I replaced my tree. A friend has one but hasn’t said much about it.

It seems like my tree was marked Red PS..

I 100% vouch for the NY35 Bonkers. Have several of them now 5+ years old producing like gangbusters. They are very tasty as well.

Just got back on here to see what's up. Sorry for this late reply. Our Prairie Spy tree is doing well, and it's one of our biggest trees - it's on Antonovka rootstock. - so it'll get very big. I haven't tasted any of the apples yet ...... I usually get sidetracked with other trees before I walk all the way out to where PS is located on our property. Just from the tree itself, I wouldn't hesitate to plant another one, if we had open space left. I have it planted next to a Wolf River about 25 ft. away. WR is also on Antonovka root, so we have 2 bigger, woodier apple trees near our outer perimeter.
