Anyone know the value/price of campers?

Check out NADAguide RV pricing online. Plug in all the specifics the camper has and you'll get a fair market value. We spend a lot of time in a 5th wheel and truck camper. Check out the roof and all windows/doors to make sure the caulking has been maintained and there's no evidence of water...

    Cabin Questions

No, I don't mind you asking. That's their 14x16 size. The 16 length includes the deck. The 14 wide is measured from the roof overhang. The base price was $5,788.00. I added extras options: insulated floor, insulated windows with an extra window, ridge vent, storm/screen door, and had it...

    Anyone mushroom hunting this weekend?

SD- I'm heading down to SE Mn to trout fish in a couple weeks. Hoping I might find a few then.

    Cabin Questions

The cabin is built on 4x6 treated skids. Before the ground froze I dug in and leveled some blocks. They just slid the cabin into place. Will probably need some leveling over time but it's small enough that it won't be a problem.

    Cabin Questions

Foggy, I had this pre-built cabin dropped off on my property this winter and I finished it off. It's not very big but I just wanted a small warming cabin. Well built and come in all sizes. Grandview Buildings from Litchfield/St. Joseph, MN.

    What's your organic matter?

Thanks Dipper. I had a local "Expert" up in these neck of the woods tell me after the mulching was done that all the decomposing material would lower the soil pH to such an acidic range I would never get anything to grow. I could not find any literature supporting that claim. Spring planted...

    What's your organic matter?

My OG is 2.8 % average in my 4 plots. Here's a question for you guys. I cleared a new plot in the woods this winter. Mostly small aspen. I didn't want to disturb the topsoil so I had the whole thing mulched leaving a layer of wood chips that I plan to incorporate into the soil to add OG...

    Mini Backhoe for clearing

If you want to use the brush piles and stumps to direct deer movement I would go with the dozer. If not, think about the mulching. There are 2 outfits in the Brainerd area that can mulch about anything with tracked mulchers with minimal ground disturbance, Mulching Mania and Wilderness Land...

    The simplist of water holes

Phil, how do the deer react to walking on that plastic?

    Permanent Stand Pics

That's a nice stand your dad built. I like the vertical window for bow hunting. I'm going to cut a couple windows in like that this year. Right now with just horizontal windows I can't shoot my bow out of it.

Scott44, do you drag that stand to move it or pick it up with the tractor?

Women at camp during hunting season. Thoughts?

Depends on the history of the camp. I know of a guy in a deer/duck camp that was purchased by a group of guys for guys. After many years of " guys" only tradition some wanted to make improvements to make it women friendly and have the wife's out. It caused quite a riff in the group. In that...

    Wyoming antelope

I have taken a couple antelope with my bow outside Douglas. There's a lot of antelope down there. I hunted private land but there are some public lands. Check out the Wyoming game website for the public land blocks. Best bet is to find water and stake it out in a blind. Doesn't have to be...

Any Interesting Hunting Land Improvements Coming Up?

I have a big pile of landscape timbers and will cut some similar sized trees if needed. All I'm doing is laying them down and driving over them. They work into the ground and disperse the weight of the atv so I don't rut the trail up during the spring when wet. I like the chain link idea...

Any Interesting Hunting Land Improvements Coming Up?

-finish a corduroy bridge over a wet spot for access to the back 40 - finish up a new 1 1/2 acre woods food plot for planting - hinge cut a known bedding area in the ash swale and plant 50 each of black spruce, white spruce, and balsam fir. - plant my internal trails with clover/ chicory -...
