Bacho and Felco are two top of the line loppers. Pricey but you get what you pay for.

I have a pair of stihl I am very happy with.

I have a corona one I like. Broke a handle and they sent me a new one, no cost, no questions asked.

That is great service. A Corona is what I am replacing. Unfortunately, mine has been worthless since day one. Never has made a clean cut. Need a beaver to chew off the last bit of a branch.

If you are looking for clean cuts, make sure to get something where the top and bottom blades bypass each other. I have one where the blade on top pushes against a flat surface on the bottom. It tends to crush more than cut.

Timely thread. I have a pair of Corona also which was about the best local big box store had to offer last fall. They first cut ok but the blade bent or flexes a little now and today was getting the beaver treatment unless perfect 90 degrees with a branch and smaller stuff. Corona model #SL3264. Handles are real nice but blade not as tough as the cheap fiskars they replaced. Fiskars went AWOL somewhere and honestly was willing to spend more then the $22 bucks for these but that was all they really had.

Well, with my new Stihl loppers I am hopping to have the perfect group of tools now. I have two pair of Felco hand pruners that are the best. Maya posted a photo of an pruner that has about a five foot pole on it and cuts with the use of a hand grip when we were on the old site. I have not idea who makes it or where I bought it from. But, I thought just yesterday that if I can figure it out I am buying another one as a spare. It is PRICELESS. Then I now have my loppers. Will report back later today as to how well they work.

P.S. Maya if you know what tool I am talking about you might let those without it know where to get it. I will post a pic later today.

Glad you like them. I have had mine for 5 years and still going strong and I don't take good care of anything...other than my trees.

I can’t believe I used the junk loppers that I had as long as I did! I do take pretty good care of everything so either your or my great grandchildren should be able to use mine. I use to not take care of things nearly as well either, but really have changed now that I can’t go quite as fast as I did in my 30s.
