They didn't get everything. Minnesota's first trans legislator tried to extend anti-discrimination protection to pedophiles. That one failed, but the overton window keeps sliding the wrong direction.

The reason we have a surplus is Covid money and 7-8% state tax.

We’ve lost Fortune 500 companies to other states, and that may happen again, as the 3M healthcare spinoff might be headquartered elsewhere.

It’s a beautiful state, but the politics are horrendous!

California is a beautiful state too. I miss the geography, and the weather but I left in 1989 and will never go back. I'm glad I relocated to South Dakota.

It's interesting to me: In the Twin Cities I felt like a total right wing lunatic. In rural SD, I feel like a full on Marxist. The cultural differences are real, but not that different than the folks in Kooch County MN.

The media's impending doom debt ceiling coverage in combination with all these states trying to figure out what to do with all the extra $ they have from COVID is sickening.

Also curious, what is it about the Brooklyn Center community that is so big on crossbows? Rep Samantha Vang (brooklyn center) introduced the house bill for crossbows for all. Some digging into her stuff and all one can find is social justice issues, not a blip about hunting/fishing. Not sure why she's getting into hunting issues now. Then Senator Susan Pha who represents the same area added crossbows for all into the senate environment, climate, and energy omnibus finance bill. Nothing about Susan indicates hunting is on her radar. At least Senator Foung Hawj (st paul) who was primary sponsor of crossbows for all bill in senate is frequently involved in outdoorsman issues. The Brooklyn center/park ladies? Who knows, either the Hmong community is passionate about crossbows or we got ravin/tenpoint funding our metro social justice warriors.

Obama/Biden were involved in this as well. Minnesota is the largest Somali population in the US. It was strategic for Democrats. It’s working !!

Immigration is fine , legal, and under control. That’s not the case right now. We can’t afford to take care of everyone. It’s one reason our country is spiraling out of control with debt and crime !

I agree with the above.....in that I think many of the church folks promoted bringing people from various overseas locations to the USA. They did this instead of working with those folks to change their situations locally (IMO). We simply imported lots of folks along with their culture(s) here.....and now their cultures are spreading .....rather than accepting our previous culture. I think our way of life got snookered. We simply cannot allow the mass immigration that has happened and continues to happen without some dire consequences to our (past) way of life. My 2 cents.

I'm in probably the WORST county in this pathetic state. MILLE LACS COUNTY and for the last 30 years it's been spiralling out of control. Reservations and being expanded by government hand outs and government has been buying up land specifically to give to the Somali's. Noticed everything going to shit exactly when all the casinos were popping up all over the state. Gov. Walz in an indian lover for some reason(money under the table from the tribes). We have become quite the gene cesspool here. Local schools are pathetic on their best day. Netting all of the walleye from the big lake and having the DNR restock the lake with taxpayer dollars. Don't even know the regs on the lake this year but last year you couldn't even use live bait. But you got to keep 1 fish.

Not sure where to get the numbers from other than talking with people from the St.Cloud and Foley area who have become the minorities in those areas. Go to St.Cloud someday and report back what you see with your own eyes. Heads up on the "old" Walmart on the East end of St.Cloud----It's been completely over run with Somali's. I know people that have gone to that store and have witnessed Somali people squatting and shitting in the store isles and then they go about their business like nothing happened. If you do go there out of curiosity you will definitely feel like you are in a foreign country and are not welcome. Usually people wind up there by mistake and will not go back to that store out of fear. Government did buy a bunch of land for the somali invasion a few years ago. I'm guessing it's similar to the southern boarder as far as the taxpayer expense to give these people free money and a drivers' license. The St.Cloud college has gone down the tubes also.
