Salvaging old fence post

huntall

5 year old buck +
.
I'm fixen to get my timber cut and I didn't want to have the old fence post that was a crossfence that my grandpaw made and drove in ground before I was born. No telling how long these post been in ground. It was open ground when he had the fence and it's a mature timber Forrest now.
Been a many farming days done between these post.

Looks like Gramps built on heck of a fence.

What are your plans for them now?

I have one property line that I built a fence on about 4 or 5 years ago.I only built about half of it because it was in big timber. Now I'm fixen to get the timber cut and when they move out I'll build that stretch of fence.
I have a post driver he made and when you pound these post in ground they are solid.

That's for sure! And heavy. They should mark the Boundary line many years after I'm gone.
