planting new grafted trees

Once the grafting takes and they starting growing, when should I plant them in the ground? I am thinking this fall? The reason being if I plant them on my property now, not sure how often I will get out there to water them in times it might go a week or so with no rain. At best, I get out there once a week, more likely once every 2 weeks.

I've had good luck planting my grafted apple trees in pots and babying them all summer. I have 25 apple trees I grafted a few weeks ago growing in pots right now. They usually get 3'+ tall by fall and then once they are dormant I transplant them to their final planting location. Sometimes I'll keep them in a pot for a second summer if they haven't put on enough growth that first summer.

Thanks!
