Does anyone know if you can use a electronic call for Coyotes in Missouri?

Wow! I would make a fur or something out of that.

BradB where do you live? We dont have those black phase coyotes here. About every other color under the sun, but I have never seen a black one here. Lots of black coyotes in the southern and eastern states. Nice score!

Very cool,do you have very many of those. We have 2 different colors here, good fur, mangy

I posted this last year but this is a friend of mine that traps everyday for 3 months, this is just the possums,He also traps coons, cats and, coyotes and beaverpossums.jpeg possums.jpeg

What the hell does he do with all those possums?

He sold them, hates to waste them.I can remember getting 5.00 for a possum

That black phase yote came from SE Alabama. Had him and two normal colored ones on camera all summer. Shoulda had one of them too but I am a novice and screwed up the set.

Awesome black phase BradB!

I like anything that is different, here are three different color phases that I have gotten and made into wall hangs.

A regular, a blonde and a dark;

Blondes are sexy!

Used to hunt coyotes and fox, a lot. In all the years we chased them I only ever saw one black one. Very similar to one you have there Brad except the only white on her was the star on the chest and a faint brown tint to some of the fur. Not sure how common they are around you but here in WI they are rare. You have a great trophy there. I wished I would have had something done with the one I shot instead of selling it for $20.

Where is a good place to have a pelt made into a hang like H2Ofowler? Or do you guys do it yourself?

I skin and stretch mine then take them to a place called Fortman's Taxidermy, usually takes a few months to soft tan. I have them leave mine cased, I've had yotes/fox/coon and mink done that way by them for wall hangs over the years.
This is there home page they do a lot of mail order business, there claim to fame is African mounts. http://www.fortmantaxidermy.com/

Biggest thing is while skinning be careful while stripping tail (no bone or meat) if you want to make a wall hang.

Well I do mine myself as I am a taxidermist. However, alot of trappers also send their pelts to Moyle Mink in Idaho for tanning (they have a website) they do alot of tanning for the garment industry.

Do you do them for other people? If so PM me some prices...

I remember you posting that pic before. I've talked with him several times, the number of coons he catches is mind boggling! I forget the number, but the miles of river that he use to travel to run his line was significant. And he did it while working full time.

Just shot a double this morning from the Aqua stand! One off the bait pile at 215 yards, they other at 325 yards. The last one made the mistake of stopping for my fake yelp! LOL
