Why no 18650 battery cameras?

Is there any knowledge about how long 5 18650 last? I would expect well over a year of run time.

Probably for pictures. I have mine (that camera) set for videos but since it's quite a trip to the cams I've been switching out the batteries each time I go. Over 600 30sec videos one of those times. I'm guessing a solar panel would keep them charged...they are supposed to have one compatible for this cam end of August.
