Why is there such a lack of value to a human life in today's society?

Cutting medical care for a bunch of deadbeats is the best part of his bill
I agree Dawg but here is the problem...... Generational poverty people are not going to go out and get a job because they don't have insurance. Now when they have a health issue they go to the doctor and the government pays the doc $100 dollars for the visit. Well now since they don't have the government card they will go straight to the emergency room from everything from the flu to a deep splinter. In America the hospital cannot turn them down so now the $100 visit turns into $2000 emergency visit for free. Now that the government is not paying and hospital must treat, then the hospital will pass the cost to us paying customers so either we pay more or our insurance goes up or if get too out of whack then the hospital may close. Sorry but does not seem better to me

^^^ think BNB is still around but maybe was hinted to "lighten up Francis".

Bill if you can share if not I understand what was the jack thing?

He is. The Jack thing was a warning.

Sorry, I took it as banned like Jack. And I don't think I've seen him post or logged in since you made that post.

Speaking of the value of human life, and suffering and such, I was denied care by an ER doc last month because I used the F word twice in describing my pain. I then had to go to another ER to get something for the pain and to get an MRI because the MRI and neurologist that was ordered over a week ago was still not scheduled. I use the F word a lot when I am in a lot of pain and my arm stops working. Luckily a nurse (1 out of 5) that was paying attention caught on to the fact that I was in a lot of pain and my arm wasn't working, and I was scheduled for surgery days later. Most just thought I was there for opiates and I have no history of opiate use.

I used to get better health care before I went to school and got a job that paid $23k a year for health insurance.

Generational poverty people can die in the streets for all I care. That's where I am at today. I worked hard and made sacrifices just so I could have health insurance and a retirement, not so someone else could have health insurance and never hold a job. So there is another reason why human life lacks value; taking what is earned and giving it to the undeserving.

Very hard to explain. Long time member who viewed it as entitlement. Never picked a fight but always encouraged it. Until my patience ran out.

It wouldn’t bother me one bit if hospitals could turn people away but on the flip side they should give you a good faith estimate of costs upfront. Only industry that has blank check as far as I can tell.
