Why is there such a lack of value to a human life in today's society?

And then we have no food or industry. Obviously I get what you are saying but I’m saying the world is overpopulated by about a billion people

Do you think we could convince J.D. and Elon?

If we were all spread out and had 2 acres we could probably get along. It's when you stack 'em up in warehouses that we have troubles.
That would be even more unsustainable and even unrealistic.

Call me what you will but every time i fill a trash can and every time i drive by the landfill i'm grossed out by how much trash I generate to stuff in the ground. Multiply by billions and a few generations of humans.. Cant imagine what the world will be like in 100 years at this pace. Hell, we're only 80 some years removed from sewage being routed into the mississippi in the twin cities.

"Lord take me and mine before that comes.."

The OP's question cuts in many directions, gentlemen. When is any life no longer of value .... and who determines that answer?

I'll agree with what I think Native Hunter was saying on page 1, concerning churches. Fewer and fewer people are going to church anymore, and it's all denominations. The town where I grew up (and many others like it), have numerous churches closed due to no one attending anymore - again all denominations. Sundays used to see families walking or driving to church in big numbers. No more ..... been that way for some years. Where we live now - much the same as my old hometown. Folks these days talk about having "Christian values", but act entirely the opposite. Anger & hatred is the religion of many today. People openly talk about stocking up on truckloads of ammo for political violence / civil war ...... which by the way, some in this country (not a few) openly cheer for. Political violence has happened coming from both sides. The recent slaughter of several Minnesota Democratic elected officials by a radical right-wing nut job (who had a lengthy kill-list of other Dem officials), is only the latest attack on anyone not bending over and conforming to today's fascist leanings. We have some "conservative" voices openly calling for violence as a means to eradicate / intimidate those who won't roll over for fascist authoritarianism as it creeps into our free, democracy - aided by Putin's coaching / social media tampering. Kill to rid ourselves of freedom-loving democracy. Value of human life??? Abraham Lincoln would be an enemy in today's society.

Care / respect for human life??? How does anyone sit by and endorse people who will cause about 12 million Americans to lose their health coverage by stroke of pens??? Many of those will surely die, or be rendered physically helpless, from not having health coverage. That's OK ..... ??? Who do we then blame when our own health premiums go rocketing upward to cover those who have no coverage anymore??? Hospitals (corporations these days) won't treat for free, so who ends up paying for the newly uninsured millions - added to the ones already uninsured?? We're very quick to pay lip service about being "Christian" and caring - but do we actually DO things that back up what we claim?? Musk recently stated openly that "suicidal empathy" is the cause for many of our problems!!! Did Jesus blow off being empathetic & caring ..... or did He live it??

Speaking words of caring & respect for human life have absolutely no meaning or weight without actions that back them up. When we all meet our Maker, will He see us as loving our fellow human (what He commands of us, BTW) - or being cold, indifferent - and maybe violent - to the real sufferings of people we gave "lip service" to??

I don't necessarily disagree with many of your points but you're buying into political hysteria a bit hard here.

If you can’t pay your health premiums or can’t afford anything else in life for that matter. Move to NYC. I heard that A new Mayor there is promising everything you need in life for free. Might want to check it out. Sounds good.

Note:
The comment about ….The killer in Minnesota being a radical right wing nut job … no way to confirm that ! He used to work for Governor Walz. I doubt Walz would hire a Republican? Mixed information on this !

Second, he made an interesting accusation about Walz & Amy Klobuchar… look it up !
There’s no way you know if he’s Republican or Democrat, it’s too early in this investigation. More will come out !

He’s on record saying he would tax white neighborhoods more , which is a federal crime (racial discrimination) & blatant steering—a common term in reference to housing discrimination that violates the Fair Housing Act!

Agree
I have worked at a chemical plant for close to thirty years. Deep underneath the property is porous limestone that used to be an underground oil field. It spreads over four or five counties deep in the earth.
We have a deep well system that we pump our “non hazardous waste” deep into the ground thousands of gallons every day year round, the whole block our plant is on has a refinery and other toxic factories that does the same.
The old oil field most definitely has a full by date I would think, it took them 100 years to pull the oil and natural gas all out.

This is just one of hundreds of sites in the world doing this. Same thing happens with hazardous liquid waste it just goes to a more specialized deep well.
It is unsustainable, cannot be good for the earth.

I was just giving Bows some advice if he or anybody else he would know needs help. You know the World is ending according to him so I thought I’d throw it out there. Move to NYC and all your problems are solved. 😃
