Whitetail Crabs 2026

That's not before Friday. Going to work for you?
It's not perfect but it will work. I'm having a family member pick them up from my house and bring them tomorrow when they're coming to join us.

My trees are being delivered tomorrow it looks like. They’ll sit at my parents place until I get there Friday to plant.

I have mine set for delivery tomorrow as well. Was hoping to get them in the ground Thursday or Friday but we are getting 2.5" of (forecasted) rain. Looks like early next week will be our first chance.

You going to plant in the monsoon, figured you'd be getting rain too?

I’m shooting for Friday afternoon. Holes are dug. Fencing and topsoil is staged. I just can’t remember for the life of me how many I ordered. I’m thinking 4 or 6. So I dug 5 holes on Sunday. Haha. Hopefully 10 don’t show up.

You should be able to check your email. I usually get an order confirmation telling me what I ordered.

Wish you guys didn't show me how to graft,......

Now I got to dig homes for 35,......

Some root pics would be nice. Been a few years since I ordered from Terry. I'd owe him like 100 bucks if he had royalties on his 30-06.

Couldn’t find the confirmation email from last fall when I ordered. May have deleted it.

Well 4 trees showed up. Fine by me. Got them in the ground as it started to rain this afternoon. Should get an inch on them by tomorrow. No need for initial watering.

Two Death Wish crabs and two Feather Up Siberian crabs. We’ll see how they do.

UPS dropped off my two Clay's Century trees at 6:30 pm, too late to plant today. They look good to me ,I didn't take them out of the bag but I ran a hose in it to wet down the roots. I will probably let them soak in a pail of water for a hour tomorrow morning before planting them. I'd say both trees are about 5'9 . One thing to note there was some green buds just showing,NORMALLY my WC trees arrive fully dormant. Today was 81 degrees so that might have pushed them to open.

I had the same issue. Pale green 1/4-1/2” leaf. And usually they are completely dormant. It’s cool and wet here. With frost a real possibility for several weeks. Hopefully won’t be any problems.

Glad you got them in, too wet here to get anything done today, I'll try again on Sunday evening.

Having the holes dug helped. Only took 30 minutes to get them in and caged. Was wet and cold by the end though. Damn weather.

I’ve got 50 sticks to push in the ground tomorrow. Lumite is already down for that too. Not going to be very warm tomorrow.

I have 6 from WC and 15 from Turkey Creek to put in. Auger behind the tractor should help but it will still be an all day affair.

Cool , how were you able to get the Death Wish trees, it always said "sold out" since the day all the trees were listed ?. I planted 3 Death Wish's last year on 111 rootstock , for 2026 they are supposed to be on fullsize rootstock.Screenshot (968).png

I ordered mine from the website. There weren't many.

Ordered them way back in September I think. One didn’t have a tree tag on it. None had any rootstock info on tags. So who knows what I planted.

Are you guys doing an initial heading cut on the trees when you plant them or just letting them grow first year as you get them?
