What's up with this buck?

I pulled my cards the other night and got this buck, at first I thought he had burs on him but after I blew this up I'm not sure what's going on. Any ideas?

Thanks! I just googled it and that's what it looks like. If you go into the images for deer with fibromas there is some pretty amazing pic there.
