Whatever it is, apparently I'm a farmer of it. (and don't want to be)

I'd estimate I have about 4-5 acres of it! lol

It was one of those moments... it just hit me. I never knew there was so much of it. Maybe because it greened up so much earlier than everything else.

First guess would be honeysuckle of some kind.

Honeysuckle. Aggressive invasive.

Man oh man. Strange how that works for me, I guess just NOT seeing stuff. I whacked a bunch of them on the property edge on Thursday. I'd been chopping maples and birch saplings along the property line with the brush blade and would run into a few of them. I'd chop one, then see another, chop that one, see another.... the next thing you know you're no longer doing what you're supposed to be doing. "No, go back and continue the job you started." They really need to be "stump" sprayed but I didn't anything with me, knowing it would likely rain the whole time I was there.

Then on Sunday I was coming down the hill after doing some work in the woods and that big picture hit me. Oh good lord, the whole damn hill it nothing but!

Reading and watching videos now on invasive bush honeysuckle removal. oof. Doesn't seem like the intensive effort is going to fit in to my couple hours available every few months schedule. 🙁

The more I learn, the more it makes sense. Greens up much earlier than anything else. Keeps it's leaves longer than anything else. Doing that it crowds out everything else. Also the roots release something that keeps other stuff from growing? Watching video, the dang things can get big enough to walk under like trees.

Oh man! I wasn't sure what it might be, but now, I'm pretty I don't want to find out! Good Luck!

Triclopyr 4 and diesel ought to kill it for you. Good for many things - especially woody brush-type plants.
