Yes, I know chinaberry is an invasive - but it smells to me like lilacs - but out in the woods. Their smell almost makes me hesitate to cut them

Oak with a chainsaw. But there is something about cheap Pine 2X4’s when I’m building something.

Sorry derailed. The original ? Was flowers.

Im a mint guy. Have it all over the place. Especially in the fall it smells like chewing gum while I’m hunting.

honey suckle in may in east texas

Non-native and invasive...but autumn olive by far is the sweetest smelling plant here in my neck of the woods. Don't have a lot of it, but you can always tell if there's one nearby in the spring.

Sweet Fern. It’s pretty common in the sandy soil of NW WI. Smells nice after driving over it on logging roads or pull the leaves off and rub between your hands.
I also second Bill on oak cut with the chainsaw, reminds me of when dad took us out cutting wood when we were kids

Wild bergamot, aka bee balm has a nice mint smell. But, that honeysuckle smell @TreeDaddy mentioned sure does bring back some fond memories. We would pick the flowers and suck out the nectar.

Dogwood blossoms here.

I know some hippies who would say Mary Jane.

Goldenrod after the bees have cured the nectar. It’s also one of the worst while being cured.

Some kind of viburnum around camp. Don't know the exact variety. Smells sweet & spicy in May / early June. Someone above said sweet fern - that scent just reminds me of archery season here. For whatever reason, sweet fern gets pungent around the end of Sept. and early Oct. here. We have it all over here.

Mead wort.

We have a patch of lemongrass on my parent's place. Every time you drive through or mow it it smells incredible.

100%. 30” dbh cherrybark oak logs smell amazing, especially when they’re going on a truck!
