Saw this one visiting in NJ.. Tropical looking oak shaped leaf and cool seedpods opening...purpleflowers

Guessing it may be datura stramonium (aka Jimson weed or Devil’s snare according to internet).

Yep Jimsonweed. They say it’s invasive but I remember seeing it a lot as a kid and haven’t seen any in years.

Watch though, now that it’s fresh in my mind I’ll find it everywhere....
