Water hole in the woods

Finally finished the water hole I started in the spring... Its at the bottom of a small draw dumping into a hillside CRP field. Back in the woods about 20 yards off the field. I left a v in the berm all summer for drainage while waiting to scrounge up a culvert. I ended up using a stick of 12' x 6" drain tile buried at an angle. I still need to cage the opening to prevent debris from blocking it... Fingers crossed that the 2 inch plus rain we just got wont find me looking at a washed out culvert lying on ground when I go back to look at it.

Yours looks great, the two I have to make with our front end loader are not near as respectable.

Thanks, I added a box screen to keep the out flow from plugging; I still need to add some rock to the down grade path of the out flow area and maybe rock in an overflow in case it ever does plug and over take the dam - the latter part may not ever happen if the drainage works well.
