Virtual Reality

Does anyone own a virtual reality set? I played one once about 4 or 5 years ago, I thought it was cool as hell. But it was at a Game Center, and not a at home set. Anyhow, are they worth the money? Do they get old quick? I thought my wife may like it to explore VR cities, and land sites, and she could use it for exercise, I can get into games on occasions, and my son, and grandkids like to game, and they could play it when they come over.

If you own one, and like it, what are the best games? What do you like, or dislike about it?

I've been farting around with an EMF meter to check the radiation coming off of devices. Yeah, I get bored in the winter.

I don't have a VR headset, but my buddy's girlfriends kids have one, and it's strapped to their heads every minute she'll allow it. I've found some pretty powerful fields around TVs, the router, microwave, phones, fridge, and electric heaters. I sent it with my brother, and I've got to ask him to get it over to my buddy so he can check out that headset. It could be completely harmless, and it might be like putting a person's head in a microwave. We'll see.

We used one when designing our new build in Canada. And I played a rollercoaster shooting game for about 15 minutes on my cousin's headset once. It's pretty amazing if you let yourself get immersed in it. That's my only experience. If they make a hunting game for it, that might be fun for rotten weather days.

My oldest has one. It got old pretty quickly. We all played on it for a couple of months then even the kids stopped getting it out. I don't know why we quit because it was really a neat thing to play with.

I don't even turn the TV on anymore. I never can find something I want to watch so I just automatically go to my phone (stupid habitat forums!). The wife loves sports so I don't have to worry about finding a game. If it's on she has it playing.

Microwave running was the worst. That field shot outward about 10' before it dropped to zero. Up close it topped out the meter, flashing red and beeping like crazy.

We can isolate and identify EMF radiation. Nobody's ever been able to isolate the 'rona. We do a coin flip called the PCR test. If it's wrong, we just call that person asymptomatic.

I will say this, I've been minding my EMF exposure and sleeping on a grounding sheet. I've been sleeping better for it.

I have a quest 3. it's pretty cool, lot of neat stuff you can do with it. yes, it will work your ass into a sweat easily with some of the games. you can play the games with any one in the world. you can google, watch youtube videos, etc. it's like a laptop on your face.
i personally only use it to play a game called Golf +. If you like golf, this is your game...
and yeah SD, been wondering about EMF...if you have the opportunity to measure a metaquest3, post it please
