I stumbled upon this today. It’s not on a property I own but I would have access to scionwood. I have never seen this much fruit on a tree. It appears to be some type of wild pear. The fruit is about golf ball size and completely loaded. The pears are hard and don’t seem to be close to ripe. Is there any method to find out if these are a viable wildlife fruit outside of observation? When I smashed the fruit it definitely smells of pear.
