Visiting with my Brother-in law over Christmas. He told me to use some old coffee grounds on the ice as an anti-slip medium on my sidewalk. He said he had a couple of big bags of old coffee grounds saved over time.
I wanted to know what he was doing with all those dried grounds. He told me he used it as a deer repellent around his tree plantings and in his garden to deter rabbits and deer. Said it worked for him.
He grew up on a farm, and his parents ran a big garden and used this method allot around the perimeter of their garden. I been reading about this....and it seems like the real deal. Anyone else got a report on this? I'm saving used coffee grounds now too.
^ This could be a solution to get many things established like red dossier dogwood and more. Also a repellent for slugs and such....maybe voles and mice too?
Do a google search. Lots of data to sift through on this topic.
