Tree Shipping....when to worry if it's taking too long ?

Typically when I order trees from PA it takes 4-5 days to receieve once shipped.

I ordered Trees this year from a place in a different state, and I realize it's farther away. However I'm getting some red flags.
Their website says they only ship on Monday & Tuesday. For some reason My order shipped last Thursday , and the Tracking said Monday Deliverey, which would have been great. Monday came and went , and now the tracking say " March 30, 2026 Moving Through Network , In Transit to Next Facility, Arriving Late" . So 6 days so far...after how many days do you begin to worry about the roots drying out ? .
 
I would wait until I received them and then check the roots immediately. If they're dry, contact the nursery. If they are packaged properly, then no harm done.
 
Got a tree order Friday. Didn't plant 1 or 2 till Monday. Still fine.

You'll be ok. Had shipments from Kansas to ny come out fine.

I had one send me an extra tree, that's a good order.....

Midwest trees? Show us some root pics.

Thinking of ordering the sandbur collection next year...... seems every year 1 or 2 grafts don't take for me .
 
Yeah Midwest....I'll take pics once they arrive ,still no movement on the tracking today. Also got a E mail From UPS today saying "label created" for my Whitetail Crabs order, says Thursday Delivery, probably more like Friday or Monday,,,but we shall see . I just hope they both don't show up on the same day.

Midwest did add some new trees this week.....they were all sold out.
 
got mine on Monday , as scheduled, they arrived wrapped up nice and tight in plastic bags...my ground is still frozen so I opened them up, put them in a 10 gallon pail with wet mulch and put in my shop in the back corner...leaving for Mexico for a week here shortly. I think they'll be fine til I get home
