You just described my life in one paragraphI can really relate to this one, I am building a new house, and playing general contractor, it is like herding cats to get them to do everything they are suppose to do, in order, on time. The builder needs to finish a few more windows, and a patio door, the electrician needs to finish the outdoor lights before the builder will come, so he can install facia when he is done with the windows and door, but the electrician, wants the doors and windows in so he can run the wires on the studs, the HVAC guy says he can be done in a day, but isnt done yet, the inspector wont come until the windows are done, spray foam insulation cant come until the electrician is done, and the inspector is done, cabinet guy says he wont build the cabinets until the floor is in, but I dont want to do the floor until all the other stuff is done. I kind of lost track who we are really waiting on. No one answers the phone, and only texts back a day or two later. The lumber yard was planning on dropping off the windows, door and a bunch of insulation today, but I have no idea when the builder is planning on coming to install them, so I asked the builder, he said not yet. Roads bans go in effect this Friday so any deliveries need to be here before then, or approximately mid April. I keep going round and round.
I resemble that remark, but with commercial construction. I will never understand why a vendor schedules one day to complete a three day project, or why the... oh nevermind. You just described my life in one paragraph

Been there brother and you have my condolences...... just don't shoot them before the job is finished! If I ever build another one it will be MUCH smaller and I will literally do it ALL myself or care absolutely nothing about when it is finished aka "sit in a lawn chair while drinking beer to see who shows up today."We just finished with this hell. So far we are very happy with the house. But getting it done was horrendous. I will never do it again. Ever.

Lol I feel ya! I have 9 going right now. Every evening I contemplate testing the limits of alcohol on the human body but I’m too worn out to even get started. Today apparently a Mexican took a crap in a bath tub I had to shovel out.We just finished with this hell. So far we are very happy with the house. But getting it done was horrendous.
