Just got back from a short trip to Bayfield, WI. Boys we live in the wrong place! The weather was awesome there for the 3 days we were there. Highs in upper 60s-low 70s. Nights in the 50s. I asked a worker at one of the businesses if it was always this nice. She said no this is cold compared to normal. I said what is normal she said mostly upper 70s. LOL!! I said have you ever been to Hell on earth? She said where is that? I said KS next week!! I almost cried when I had to come home.

KS has been paradise so far this summer. Suppose we're due for some "normal" temps. Bayfield sounds nice!

I from up there by Bayfield great little tourist town in the summer and fall apple festival then the winter hits and your stuck indoors for months. I actually prefer KS whether but I do agree the summers are hot, springs and falls seem to last a long time and winter is so mild compared to the frozen north where I grew up. I do think I saw a herd zebra run across my lawn yesterday afternoon being chase by a pride of lions because it was Africa hot but I maybe was hallucinating hard to say for sure.

It's been a few years now, but we took the kids on one of the boat tours out of Bayfield. It reminded me of a smaller WI Dells.

Anyway, we're on the boat and someone says, "It's so beautiful and the weather is so nice, I could live here". The tour guide, college-aged kid, says, "don't let this fool you, the winters are a bitch".

Yea I looked it up when I was there, too geeky not to. 84" average Winter snowfall total and since it does get cold I am guessing most of it stays around for a good part of the Winter. Seems like a good place to spend the Summers though. We kayaked on the lake to see the caves and went out fishing one afternoon, 1 short of our 6 person possession limit, but only because we had already caught our 1 limit/ person 25" or bigger Lake Trout and had to toss back the last 2 big ones.

For a tourist town it was down right quiet which was perfectly fine by me. We were there during the week so that could have been part of it. There are a bunch of orchards around. We were too early for blueberries and way too early for apples though.

Did you see the tall ships?

We saw this one while we were out fishing. Our boat captain was going to look up more information for us, but we got sidetracked fishing. If anyone needs a good charter captain on Lake Superior out of the Bayfield area let me know. I would highly recommend ours. Can also give good recommendations on kayak outfitter and places to eat and drink. Though I am guessing the others who have piped up on my thread highjacking can as well.

You were in my back yard. I am about an hour south west of there. Winters can linger. Expect snow from about mid October through late April give or take a couple weeks either way. But mid 70’s for average summer highs, and mid 50’s for mid summer low average.

Took me a while to figure out how duped we were. Get the jab they all said. I remember when they said covid could live on Stainless Steel for 3 days.....and cardboard for several days. Mask-up with custom masks. Social distancing......6 feet lest you die. Cumo calling for more ventilators for New York (and Trump delivered!). Refrigerated trailers to hold the dead (and Trump delivered). Lots of lying and deception. Freaking bassturds.
