Exactly, if you're trying to sell something but won't tell me the price unless I call you, you won't be selling it to me.
Wonder if they tell everyone who calls the same price? I think they try to get a feel with the caller's level of knowledge/ignorance and take advantage if possible. jmho

They don't. Pricing can be very complicated and change surprisingly often, but it usually has to do with negotiations based on volume.

If it's something you need or really want, you should definitely contact them for a price and make a counter offer.

If it's something I'm just casually checking out to get a feel for prices, and it's less than $50, I probably won't bother.
