I am 100% on board with no property taxes, or at least none after 65yo, but isnt property taxes mostly local taxes? Schools, city, towns, etc..?

When things hit the chopping block I'm always interested in how it's getting replaced, what's the new plan and where is the funding going to come from? If property taxes pay for fire departments, school, roads, police, etc. and we do away with it... then how do those programs get funding in the future?

Then there's the question on how much do they really need vs how much they get and piss away. County workers/jobs are what comes to mind with the yearly "budget". Use it or lose it basically. Don't salt the roads trying to ration and then dump that shit everywhere at the end of winter to use it up. Renting equipment when the rent for three years would have bought the machine but they just keep renting. Auditing what the government does is an awesome idea in my opinion and make all the information public so taxpayers can see the rampant waste. jmo
I'm all for cutting waste my issue is Musk has spread some mis truths and his response was you can be right all the time and he takes his 4 year old in the White House. I would say theres alittle difference between sending condoms to Gaza and sending them to an area that is fighting a huge Aids epidemic.I know alot of people didn't believe in vaccination and COVID. But I transported quite a few people that begged for it in the few days before they died. I agree it should be free choice but when you got sick I hope you thought about all the other people you were putting at risk and how fragile life could be.I know of no one that we worked on that was vaccinated that didn't survive but even in our small town we had multiple people that weren't vaccinated that never came home.
