Taking a whack at the sedge at camp good again this year. Bentazon then gly / plant 2 weeks later.
Was going to do the usualy rye, oats, or wheat. Seems rye takes ATV traffic better than oats. Throw some clover in too.
Any other summer crops that can handle lets say 5 atv's tracks a week in a 30ft wide spot. Buckwheat and canola are definitely out. Zone 3 sandy soil. Likely mid may planting time. Maybe plantain? These are trail between the forest, so they do get shade. I generally trim with a pole saw every 2 or 3 years well.
I have been debating tricloypr in this spot. Not too worried about damaging the trees, might be good in this spot anyway. Not sure if that does anything to mace sedge. Also, resiludal before planting again.
