spring planted radish?

so I broadcasted some radish in my plot late June and noticed they bolted and started to flower and produce pods. when looking through the stems, looks like deer like them? anybody ever plant them in the spring? wondering if the plant puts energy to the seed if planted during longer days, or if they'll produce a bulb ad well, since I don't see bulbs on the radish with stems. kind of neat, I plan to spring plant some next year and see what happens.

I've done spring planted radishes before with similar results. Quick to bolt and little to no bulb growth. I no longer include them in my spring or early summer plantings.
