I have roughly 20 apple and pear seedlings that i am growing in pots this year, is there any need to spray them with anything such as bonide at this young age?
Here is my thought. Since they are seedlings I would not spray them for anything except insect problems. If they are going to have disease issues, now would be the time to find out. No sense in wasting a bunch of time and energy in a seedling tree that is going to require lots of attention in the future just to make it productive.

I just use sevin to keep the bugs off and it works great. At home i can check them every few days and if I see something move in I just give them a quick spray
