Spraying Gly

Is there such a thing as spraying you when it's too cold? I'd like to spray Saturday but the temps are looking like a high of 55. Is that too cold?

It's below the recommended temperature, but that's usually more of a concern later in the year. When it's cold, a plant's metabolism slows, so it can take longer to work. In Spring, as the temperature increases, it should work fine, but it might take longer than advertised.

I googled weather for Madison, and it looks like you're due some rain followed by some warmer weather and sunshine. Personally I would wait a week if it's possible. Spraying tomorrow won't really make it go much faster.

The ag guys in our area spray down to 50 degrees. The key is the plants are actively growing. I have done even cooler, and it seems to have worked OK, but if you can wait, as Telemark recommended, that would be ideal. If you are limited time wise, go for it.

I plan to spray cleth and gly (seperately, on different fields) tomorrow and the high is 53 (with light winds), but I know the weeds/grass have been actively growing for several weeks. I am not in a rush to get anything in, but I have help and a couple free hours so I am doing it. It just might take a while before the special orange glow appears from the cleth....

The Special Orange Glow!!! That is awesome, lol!

ETA: I think I saw them once. 60’s psychedelic cover band right?
